The orbital rivet presses from Yoshikawa Iron Works are a perfect compliment to Superior Press's own brand or impact rivet machines. Superior Press is now the exclusive distributor for Yoshikawa's high quality orbital rivet machines in North America (Canada, US & Mexico).
Oribital forming is a cold forming process that requires less material than with forming using the impact method. The tool is held at a fixed angle over the rivet, shaping the rivet material into a predetermined shape. This method of rivet fastening makes the component material grain structure stronger, without disruption of the axial load.
Yoshikawa Iron Works is one of the world's pioneers of mechanical riveting systems and has amassed more than 150 patents in Japan and internationally. They have been assisting the world's manufacturers for nearly half a century through creativity and innovation. Their high performance riveting systems are highly regarded by customers in a broad range of industries including appliances, automotive, cookware, furniture etc.
